Short answer: the earlier PQR interpretation lists proof of successfully completing NCLEX as a recognized equivalency assessment for nurses and midwives. Under that section, applicants with a valid recognized exam pass record may be exempt from the UAE licensure examination. But NCLEX does not automatically give you a DHA registration or license, and an NCLEX pass is not the same document as an active USRN license. The evidence must still be valid when you apply; if it states no validity, the PQR generally accepts it only within five years from issuance. The applied title must fit, gap-of-practice limits still apply, and DHA may add equivalency requirements for an individual case.

The practical rule is: claim the assessment exemption only through your own Sheryan application and upload the evidence DHA requests. The Important Difference: NCLEX Passer vs USRN

You passed NCLEXYour key evidence is the official pass record accepted by DHA. Passing does not by itself prove that a US state board has issued an active license.

Four Boundaries To Check Before Claiming Exemption

A DIY Checklist For Filipino Nurses

  1. Run the free Sheryan self-assessment. Choose Registered Nurse only if your education and registration support that title.
  2. Prepare two evidence folders. One for Philippine records such as passport, nursing education, PRC registration and Good Standing; another for NCLEX or USRN evidence.
  3. Keep names identical. Compare passport, PRC, school, NCLEX and US board records. Document a legal name change instead of silently editing spellings.
  4. Follow the assessment shown in Sheryan. If the application recognizes an exemption, do not book CBT just because a review center says every nurse needs it.
  5. Complete PSV tasks requested for your case. Exam exemption is not credential-verification exemption.
  6. Save the decision trail. Keep application numbers, payment receipts, uploaded files and written support replies.

FAQ

Does passing NCLEX automatically give me a DHA license?

No. The PQR may support exemption from the licensure examination, but DHA still reviews your application and credentials. A hiring facility must activate an approved registration into a professional license.

Should an NCLEX passer still study DHA questions?

First check whether Sheryan requires the CBT. If you are exempt, spending weeks on a DHA question bank may not be the best use of time. Focus on documents, PSV and the Dubai registration path instead.

Is an NCLEX pass the same as a valid US nursing license?

No. NCLEX is an examination. A nursing license is issued by a board after its licensing requirements are met. Prepare the exact evidence that matches your status.

Can I use an NCLEX result issued more than five years ago?

Do not assume so. The PQR says equivalency examinations must be valid at application and, when the document states no validity, are generally accepted within five years from issuance. Ask DHA to assess your exact record before relying on it.
